Beef Carbon: European farmers take action to protect our planet

Beef Carbon is the name given to the action plan to reduce the beef carbon footprint. A total of 170 innovative meat farms are involved in this major project. France, Ireland, Italy and Spain are paving the way for an agriculture based on good operating practices.

The Beef Carbon project is aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 15% over 10 years, with the ambition of witnessing the birth of a new production system (e.g. establishment of rotational grazing, rejuvenation of calving cows, etc.).

As a player in the beef production chain, ActiMeat supports “these innovative farmers”.
